I have a few things I would like to bring to attention. Only 1 adult pool for about 3000 adults so crowded while swimming. You have to pay a service charge fee PER PERSON in each room 20$ a day. Hopefully that will be split with every crew member because the housekeeper made our beds and gave us clean towels, don’t think it should be that much of a service charge everyday for only a few things to ...
This was our 6th cruise with NCL (last in 2019).
The not so good:
Selected the 11:30-12 check in slot in Miami. The check in process was smooth took 20 minutes. However, not sure why NCL requests you to select a check in time and still give out boarding group numbers. We then had to wait in the lounge over 30 minutes to actually board. Unlike our cruise earlier this year on RCL out of PR, ...
This was my niece's senior trip. I took her (just turned 18yo) along with her 16yo brother and my boyfriend. The staff were fabulous, our room steward was top notch (Hary) and the crew was just overall jovial. Our review of the food is limited bc the kids aren't into new foods that much. Teppenyaki was definitely a hit. I was disappointed in that there wasn't much for the 2 of them to do. ...
Miami Port is atrocious. We came in day before and stayed at hotel in South Beach. When we left for the dock the app said 40min - it took 100min because of all the construction, lane closures, and the six other boats docked. So find your patience early. Which is helpful because this boat had over 500 more people on it than the stated website maximum. On the first and last day the boat felt like it ...
Food republic (NCL Escape)
During my cruise on NCL Escape January 25, 2020 I enjoyed dining here on multiple occasions. The dining room is open and roomy. The main feature is a glass wall with sprawling views of the ocean and sunsets. Stools are also available at the counters overlooking the chef’s preparation area. Plates are as advertised with 4 choices included with a dining plan- you eat ...
the boat was beautiful, rooms were huge compared to others I've been on. was unhappy with cutomer service though.. had 3 unexpected things go wrong that they wouldn't or couldn't fix.
1. the Jamaica excursion was falsely advertised. It said Dunns river falls and glass bottom kayak tour. when we arrived it was not glass bottom, which was the ENTIRE reason we booked that excursion. I told ...
The ship is beautiful, love the shows, the cafe is average but the Manhattan restaurat was great. Great service, I never foun d the bakery (I think it needs to have a better sing).
Our houseking Elbert was great, plesent and always on point. But I think the people before me smoke in the room. The room was clean but you could still smell it on the pillows and the bed. I don't smoke and dont like ...
My best friend wanted to go to Jamaica. The cost of a hotel was the same as the cruise and we would be able to see more places on a cruise.. We both got the mini-suites for ourselves and our husbands. I Highly recommend the upgrade to a mini suite. The ship was very clean and dining was amazing. So many restaurants to choose from. We hung out on the 19th deck at the "Vibe Bar" and had a blast. ...
Background info:
I have been on 1 Disney cruise, 1 Royal Caribbean, and this is my third Norwegian cruise. All have been Caribbean except one Alaska cruise. We have been sailing Norwegian mostly due to the great comped rooms we get from the casino, hard to beat that price! We (me, hubby and 13 year old daughter) are not hard to please people, we roll with the punches and expect that things ...
Decided to kick start the summer with a relaxing cruise and getaway. The ship, staff and cabin were all great. A little disappointed in Jamaica and the over aggressive peddlers. Only issue with the cruise itself was the food often was like being at a Luby’s Cafeteria. The VIP dining helped but even there saw the same food a few times.
The cabin was great as the balcony allowed us to have ...
