Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

Fun activities on board (painting classes, Top Chef competition, board games, other competitions), very nice facilities, and great martini bar. Best embarkation process we've had (only three cruises) but was very smooth with very little standing in line to get on board. Greeted with a drink when you come on board and off you go. Casino has lots of machines and regular gaming tables with a bar ...

Great cruise, great service, beautiful ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

This is my first ship and we picked Anthem of the Seas because we can drive to the port and because it is a newer ship. We are very impressed with the ship. It is just like a 5 star hotel/resort. The cabin is smaller than a hotel but all other facilities/amenities are similar to a high end resort. We really like the fact that it has an indoor pool and hot tubs so we can enjoy it on cold days. The ...

From the time we boarded the Carnival Sunshine we were impressed with the staff, the food and the entertainment. Our cabin steward Daryl was great and our dining room staff was outstanding. My favorite staff person on the ship was Pande at the first seating dining each night. The Cruise director Emma is the best in the business. We absolutely loved her personality and caring spirit. We ...

We wanted to avoid the airport experience so we chose the Breakaway because it was only a cab ride away from home. Because we were Latitude members we had a special line. 15 minutes after arrival at the pier we were on our way up the gangway. Freestyle dinning meant we could dine any time we wanted. The cafeteria was always open, The longest we waited for a table for 6 at the main three ...

Holland America "rules"

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Koningsdam

We choose Holland America Koningsdam for a couple of reasons. Both my wife and myself are of Dutch background so we wanted to try this cruise line. We both has birthdays when we were aboard so that was another great excuse. Upon our departure I read some of the negative reviews on this ship and was somewhat apprehensive. We had a wonderful time, loved the food and enjoyed the majestic Koningsdam. ...

Great Choice for Foodies

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

Overall, this was the best ship we have been on in terms of specialty restaurants and service, including the far more expensive Oceana Marina. Itinerary/Food/Service are our priorities and in this case our teenage daughter picked the itinerary which wasn't as exciting as I would have chosen, but worked for this trip. Pros-- Mix of Specialty Restaurants is best of all Celebrity ships we have ...

Great ship, mediocre itinerary

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Koningsdam

Great price and wanted to try out the K-dam. We had heard bad things about the lower decks in terms of loud sound from the music venues on 3, and that the upper staterooms experienced a lot of wind motion. So we chose deck 6 and were happy. Then took an up-sell to a Vista suite. Mistake, nowhere near worth what we paid. There were no new special duvets, the space was as narrow as a regular ...

Beautiful Ship

Overall, a good experience. Staff are friendly and ship is kept in excellent condition. Getting to the port was effortless but the congestion getting into the terminal was a good 30 min at 1pm. Check in was quick. You first go through the detectors and they sit you down while an agent come to you and checks you in. Nice touch. Better than NCL or Carnival. Took about 2 min with agent if you ...

This was our second time on a Quantum class ship (first being on the Quantum of the Seas), and we loved it. It was one of our best cruises, and we have done many. The weather was great, with smooth sailing. Not something that any cruise line can control, but it was nice. The ship was beautiful and loved the North Star, Solarium, and especially Two270. Their roast beef sandwiches and salads ...

Good Short Cruise

We really enjoyed this cruise. It was a great break from winter in New Jersey. The food was great. It fell short on activities while you were on board. Not enough to do. The entertainment was the same. We have been on this cruise ship 5 times. Four in the same cabin. The shows are exactly the same as when we took the inaugural cruise. It really is time to change them. They are certainly ...
