Nice to see the architecture and waterway ...

The citi is modern and impressing. Old backward areas are difficult to find and the local tourist bureau would not tell you. There is an area nearby with buildings, which show the kind of Chinese houses ,which tourists might expect ...

We booked a private/guide through the ship who was amazing and took us to see all the highlights Shanghai had to offer. Her name was Angeline, she took us to the water town which was well worth the drive. Too many places to mention!!!!!! ...

This was our final city, final days before departing China. It was modern and traditional both. We enjoyed touring the beautiful gardens and the shopping area. And we enjoyed seeing the Bund, by day and by night. The hotel was amazing! Thank you, Viking, for everything. ...

We had been to Shanghai before. We choose to do it independently. The ship docks half a kilometer from the Bund and we awoke the morning of arrival to see the spectacular Pudong skyline out our window. Excursions included tours of the city, a ride on the Maglev train, and other things. We did 90% of what were offered on several of these excursions on our first day there on our own at a far lesser ...

Reminded me, some acts, of performances I've seen at Walt Disney World at EPCOT, and also of some performances in several Cirque du Soleil shows. Very entertaining evening out. ...
