I don't know what the other reviews were talking about with this cruise or the cruise line but we found it to be EXCELLENT (the word used often with our cruise director) Although the ship was not one of the later ones, we felt that it was quite comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Our room was very nice (although we would not pay extra for the obstructed view next time)The bathroom was not spacious but adequate for the time we spent in our cabin. We have not complaints about the food. The buffet was fine for us and we did eat our first dinner on the ship in Le Bistro and would highly recommend it. It was definitely a dining experience. The buffet was very convenient for us as we could eat whenever we liked (they did close between meals for clean up and set up for the next service)We did eat at Aqua several times and have no complaints. We found the food to be very good and the service very good also. We had read reviews that said the wait was ridiculous but never found that to be true. We ate between 6:00 and 6:30 and never had to wait. We walked right in. The shows were spectacular, like being in Vegas. Our cruise director, Kyle was fun and made the trip enjoyable without being too obnoxious.

We planned our shore excursions before our trip and recommend to do that. We visited Tabyana Beach and Gumbalimba Park in Belize. It was fun but it was raining so the beach was out. It was a beautiful beach and if you have the time and the weather permits you, stay a while. We also went to the Lamanai Ruins and River Safari and highly recommend it. The trip to get there was long and very educational but so worth it. The ATV Jungle and Beach Adventure was great also. I never drove an ATV but it was easy. Just about anyone over 16 can do it. Our last excursion was the Mexican Cuisine Workshop. OMG what a blast. If you don't go on any other excursion, do this one. What a blast!! The chef was GREAT. We started our class with our drink orders. At 10 in the morning, we were cooking and drinking. They made any drink you wanted and they were never ending. We ate the meal we cooked and had time to relax by the ocean or pool. This was one of my favorite excursions.

I have only one complaint with this cruise and that is the spring breakers. The took over the hot tubs and pool area. We saw so many drunk kids that I am sure that some of them won't remember their trip. My suggestion would be to make one floor for just the college kids. That way, they can party together and leave us older people alone. Also an area for 50 or older would be nice. There weren't too many places to be able to sit and read a book quietly. The reggae music was constant and loud. Very unpleasant.

Cabin Review

Obstructed Oceanview

Cabin OK

We found our cabin to be very spacious. The bed was very comfortable, not like the reviews we had read that they were just a piece of foam over a mattress. We had an obscured view cabin and don't think we would pay extra next time for that type of room. The bathroom was not spacious but for the time we spent in our cabin, it was okay. There was plenty of space for out clothes. Our room steward bent over backwards for us. He was so pleasant and smiled all the time. He really seemed to enjoy his work. We always had fresh ice and a supply of soda. I really liked the animal figures he made with the towels. Very cute.
