This was our 2nd cruise. Our 1st was a 5 nighter on Century. We were supposed to travel with another couple but they cancelled a week before the cruise. We decided to go anyway even thought we were not sure if we would really like being "confined" for 10 nights. We were happy we went. We had a really good time. We dropped our bags off first and then went off site to park our car. Check-in was quick and painless. We were in concierge class and there was no line to speak of when we arrived around 12:45. Our cabin on deck 10 was roomy and spotless. The bed was next to the balcony but that really wasn't a problem. The storage, however, is another story. Great closet space but too few drawers. Yes, there is storage over the bed but if you want to put something back that's toward the middle and you don't want to throw it in, you literally have to stand on the bed to do it. There was plenty of storage there on top of the bed, just hard to reach some of it. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of storage space and a really nice shower. Nice chairs on the balcony that reclined. The buffet on deck 14 was crowded at times for breakfast and lunch but you could always find a table somewhere as they were very quick to clear and clean tables as diners left. We had breakfast many times in the main dining room and enjoyed being seated with other people so we could share stories. We had breakfast on our balcony one morning and it was served promptly and the order was perfect. We did dine one evening in Tuscan Grille and the food and service were outstanding.

We used the stairs alot, to go up to deck 14 to the pool or buffet, to go down to deck 3 for dinner in the dining room, to go down to deck 4 to the theater, to go down to deck 5 to the cafe where there have delicious pastries and cookies which you can get "to go". We used the stairs because there really are not enough elevators for the number of people on the ship who are trying to get to the same place at the same time.

The pool area gets crowded on sea days and we had 4 of them. The chairs are so close together that you have no place to put a drink down. Many chairs are just moved around but you can't do that everywhere.

Cabin C3

Quiet. Good closet space. Bed near balcony. Not enough drawer space as this ship has storage above the bed. Even though we were on deck 10, we could feel the engines when the ship was coming into port. We did feel more movement here and we thought that was due to the forward cabin location but we could feel it even when we were midship.
