Our first day we traveled to Fort Lauderdale a couple days ahead, just in case of weather problems. It took us 12 hrs of traveling all together, with stops. We had 3 flights to get there. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale about 9:30pm. We called for the hotel shuttle & it came fairly quick & took us to the Holiday Inn Express on 17th. The hotel is a little older, but clean & basic. The next day we went across the street & shopped at Ross, office depot & dollar tree. We found a grocery store too & bought our Pepsi to take on the ship. Then we took a bus down to the beach boardwalk & walked & shopped. That evening we went to Chuck's Steak House, it was good.

The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel that was included. We had a pancake & some orange juice. We got a taxi to the port and we were on the ship by 11:30am! On our way on to the ship we met our first Cruise Critic friends who recognized us because of my beads I wore. We went to the buffet & ate lunch. We then went to our room. It was a nice room with a balcony. It was an obstructed view, but it really was just a life boat below us, so we had a view still of the ocean! We really liked it for the light we had in our room & also to sit on & enjoy quiet time! We went to a sail away get together at the back of the ship on deck 15 & met some cruise critic friends! We went to the dinning room for dinner, we had early dinning. We were taken to a table for 2. There was another table for 2 beside us. We got talking to the people beside us & ended up having our tables put together for the rest of the cruise. We went to the show that night. It was ok.

The next day was at sea. We had breakfast in the buffet. We then went to our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet. It was nice. We met some people we had chatted online with & then some others. We ate in the dinning room for lunch. We played trivia and then went to the Corning Glass Show!!! How amazing to have a Glass Show on a ship! We really enjoyed it! We then had a dip in the solarium pool & hot tub. Then we got ready for formal night.

We were in a good location on the ship. It was quiet. The balcony was nice. The room had a bed, coach, tv that swung out. desk, fridge, decent size bathroom with shower.
