I booked this cruise with my kids in mind. I wanted to do a short vacation where my kids would have just as much fun as my husband and myself.

DAY 1 We arrived at Pt. Canaveral at around 12:30pm. We were not able to get into our cabin until 1:30pm, which was fine. We had lunch and hung out by the pool for a while. When we finally arrived at our cabin we found a tiny room for 4 people. We had booked a balcony cabin. There was a king bed (which was 2 single beds pushed together) and 2 drop down bunks. The problem was once the bunks came down you could barely get out of the king bed without bumping your head and you certainly could not access the balcony without crawling on your hands and knees to get around the bunk. We didn't go to the dining room the first night, so we ate at the buffet on the Lido deck. The buffet was very good with a good selection. They also have a 24 hour pizzeria which my kids lived on!

Day 2 Freeport. We had breakfast up on the Lido deck, which was standard eggs, bacon etc. There is not much to do in Freeport so we took a taxi to Pt. Lucaya. We did a little shopping and walked around the beach area before heading back to the boat. The beach was beautiful but you are hounded by people selling everything from necklaces to dolphin tours. We had lunch by the pool (hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries etc.) Then headed up to the top deck for the water slides. My kids had a ball here. This is a wonderful area for kids and carnival did good here. My only complaint is there is no shade at all. I sat up there for an hour and was baking in the sun. The pool is one deck below this. I didn't want to leave my kids here by themselves but really needed shade and to cool off. So we would head back to the pool so I could cool down. If they could improve at all here it would be to add some shade. That night was the captains dinner. We had early seating (6pm). We wanted to attend the captains reception at 5pm before dinner. We headed to the lounge where the daily events (FunTimes) said it was being held. When we got there a sign was posted it was closed. So we asked 4 different people who all sent us to 4 different places. None of which had the captains reception. Needless to say we never did find it. Dinner service was very slow and our waiter was not very friendly. I have cruised several times before and have always enjoyed the restaurant because of the friendly servers. Our waiter seemed to have been preoccupied all night and never once smiled. Needless to say this was the first and last time we went to the dining room. After dinner we saw the show which was an 80's inspired show. The show was great. Very upbeat and energetic! I very much enjoyed it.

Cabin Review

We had a balcony room for 4 people and it was very small. It was a king bed(2 singles pushed together) as well as 2 drop down bunks. When the bunks were down it was impossible to move around the room and virtually impossible to get to the balcony.
