We sailed out of Barcelona on the 31 august 2010 (for the cruise that I had always dreamed of),on the RCL,Brilliance of the Seas. I had browsed the forums to see what others had to say about the ship, and I wasn't expecting anything flash. Being a first timer, and not having anything to compare it too, I was blown away. From the first person we met at embarkation til the final disembarkation we couldn't have asked for any better service, food, excursions and weather!! We weren't looking for anything to complain about, just enjoyed everything. Our waiter(ess),Eva and assistant waiter,Engin, were superb. They made us feel special by remembering out names, likes and dislikes as did our stateroom attendant, Marijana. We had an inside stateroom, which was good as we slept well, but I just couldn't get past not waking up, and opening up the curtains to daylight. I will get a porthole next time, oh yes there will be a next time. We took in a few shows, ate at most of the eating places that there were on the ship, but didn't have enough time, or energy to do all that was offered. We had a set dining time (6.30), and the late dining time was too late but I would try My Time Dining next time, as we were often tired after a onshore excursion and would have liked a rest before dining. The 2nd to last morning was terrible, as the cabin above us had flooded, I was looking forward to a sleep in, and maintenance starting ripping up carpets and banging. What a rude awakening. I phoned Guest Services and they looked into the matter for us and the repairs were stopped until that afternoon. By that time I was awake, but still, they did something about it. Other than that it was a wonderful experience!!!!!!!! There isn't room for Naples on the port reviews, we found it dirty but the excursion to Pompeii was wonderful and when got back to Barcelona the excursion was excellent as was the hotel transfer.

A good location, although the hallway was noisy at times. Shower a little on the small side, to accommodate a stool that I had put in there to help with showering. We would get the same location on the ship just at a higher level and with a porthole.
