We have been on 11 Celebrity Cruises and this was our 3rd time on the Equinox. We have reached Elite Plus status which gives us a few extra perks. The best one being a Continental breakfast in the Tuscan Grill which is wonderful when the buffet is super busy. Why Celebrity in general..good service, good tasting food (although some cutbacks noted), library with comfortable chairs, friendly staff and like the people who sail this line. Probably in the 50 to 80 range (like me) and unpretentious. Regarding the food situation. Didn't go to the dining room too often because didn't like the offerings some nights. Buffet food really excellent but less variety. The desserts not so good. Too many cakes with with cheap gel type filling and topping. Looks pretty but does not taste good. Did have a slice of German Chocolate cake with the coconut/nut filling which was delicious. Had a cookie for dessert most days and the ice cream soft serve was pretty good.
