We chose this cruise because it touched so many of the ancient sites in Greece and Turkey that we wanted to visit. A cruise is the best way of reaching such a widely spread list of fascinating sites within a reasonable amount of time; the fact that Viking provided such a good range of excursion options was a bonus, backed up by the subject matter experts that were on the ship, providing lectures and valuable insights. Excursion tour guides were also excellent.

This was our first cruise with Viking and there was no part of the experience that disappointed us. The food selection was excellent, as was the service provided by all the members of the various restaurant/dining teams. Indeed, service is something that Viking prides itself on and we can see why: the crew to guest ratio is so good that crew members get to know you and your needs pretty quickly; nothing is too much for them.

Embarkation and disembarkation were smooth and unhurried thanks to the presence of a large number of Viking reps to help passengers understand the process and find their way around.

Cabin Review

This was the first time on a cruise that we've ever been able to fully unpack our suitcases and have more than enough room to put everything neatly away! The room itself was well presented and maintained in tip top condition throughout the cruise by our excellent cabin stewards.
