Sail Date: Nov 2022

This was our second sailing since the lockdowns, and Jan 2020. Had 17 cancels and re-books. Did a Royal late October. Did this Carnival to get a comparison in today's covid environment. We have been on 35+ cruises. As we booked this kind of late. We did not have a lot balcony choices. Our cabin was 6456.

We did the any time timing. Had to use the app to tell the system we were ready to eat. Never knew for sure which dining room it would be. This sometimes lead to confusion for us as we found the ship hard to navigate. Generally had good service, but some times nothing we really wanted. Went to buffet some nights. Had to get there early as they close early these days. One night in MDR the wife had something make her ill while at the table. She had to leave ASAP.

Bar service was kind of hit and miss. Although we tip. Some waiters just did not seem to care. My wife and I each had 1 hour waits for drinks. I did find 1 good waiter. His name was Sree. Always friendly and knew his liquor.

Cabin Review

Aft balcony cabin 6456. What we would expect. Bed was lumpy. When outside deck would get rain. Water would seep under door onto carpet. Informed cabin steward. He was good. His crew stayed busy most of day covering a big area. Had once a day service. Noisy at night even after the shows were done below us. Staff at club would leave canned music going. The bass would come through the deck. It was even noisier out in the hall and the other cabins. I finally figured this out and for 2-3 days had the PA level reduced.

Port Reviews

Belize City

Went here to get some codeine cough syrup. The cruise port pharmacies had closed down due to covid. Had to go out into town for a good pharmacy. I can recommend Free Town Pharmacy at 28 Freetown Road. We ate at wet Wendys. Had a good waitress.

Roatan

We have been here many times. If not a pre-arranged trip. Go out and get a taxi. Lots to do at Roatan. Go para sailing here.
