Sail Date: Dec 2022

This was the first cruise I've ever taken. There was a lot of swaying on this sailing, but I heard there was a small casino ship that wasn't able to sail due to the choppy waters. If I stood for a couple of hours, my back would begin to hurt & would just need to sit or lay down. I asked experience cruisers, and they said that amount of swaying wasn't normal. Before my cruise, I read about some problems with the stabilizers on the December 5th-10th cruise, so that may have been part of the issue.

Food was good. I experimented with many appetizers in the main dining room that I hadn't tried before and all were good: fried calamari, fried oysters, alligator beignets, and frog legs. I think the only thing I was disappointed with was the eggs at breakfast being the powdered kind. I tended to eat too much at breakfast and didn't get hungry for lunch, but main dining at night was excellent! To speed things up (since I would be hungry by evening dining time), I would pull up my menu on the Carnival Hub app & pick what I wanted before I got to the MDR.

As far as entertainment, it seemed like they had plenty to fit your style. Fun items for all ages. It was convenient being able to see the list of entertainment on the Carnival Hub app to plan out my day.

Cabin Review

My room was fine. I traveled solo, and it was plenty of room for just me. I'm pretty sure I got the last room on the ship, because I had friends wanting to go & they weren't able to get a room within minutes my booking.
