We have taken several Carnival cruises before. So, after the pandemic subsided somewhat, we decided to try another. What a letdown. Maybe my fault for poor planning of the time of year, but the place was overrun with out-of-control kids. The lido deck was constant chaos. The drink prices have risen dramatically, and the short staffing really affects the service. Couldn't try the Mongolian Wok (long lines) or even the buffet most times because of the crowds. The food quality and number of selections has dropped everywhere. Only Guy's Burger Joint remains consistent from previous cruises. The Main Dining Room food was cold and plain. The suite we were in was showing her age and needed some maintenance. The entertainment was low quality, with the big productions of the past are gone. The only positive of the cruise was our room steward, who was very attentive and thorough. It will be a long time before we will use Carnival again. Their blatant cost cutting efforts are obvious throughout and come at the expense of the guests. However, none of the staff seemed to care.

Grand Suite

The suite was OK, but well worn. Our steward kept it clean and stocked well.
