I have never written a review before but felt the need to share my thoughts and what people told me on the cruise. I was on the thanksgiving week sailing in the haven. This was the first cruise on the prima at completely full capacity (3500 people with 500 kids). I was extremely excited to try the Prima, and I had been on 2 previous cruises this year with NCL (Joy- Haven, Bliss- Club Balcony). I had read the negative reviews of the Prima but when I found out I had an offer to try it I rearranged my schedule to go. First we were late getting on the ship because of travel issues, so we boarded at 2:30. No one took us to our muster station like they normally do so we received a naughty letter and had to attend a class. After boarding we waited in line for a very long time with the concierge to book restaurants and shows. Shows were no problem but by the time we boarded the only reservations left were at 9 pm. After making our plans we wanted some food and the only thing that was open was the local. Not off to a great start.

I will list some of the things I liked before getting to the rest of the negative. The boat itself is gorgeous. Very beautiful colors. The crew on this ship is amazing. They were all hard working, friendly and went above and beyond despite difficult situations. I honestly feel bad for them because it seemed they were constantly struggling with small stations or getting yelled at. My favorite thing about the ship itself was the indulge food hall. I hope they put this on other ships. My friend and I both thought this food was even better than the haven restaurant. The casino was also one of the nicest I have seen at sea. Price is Right was one of the best productions I have ever seen at sea and was so much fun! Donna Summer and the Noise boys were excellent as well.

Now for the bad things I will start with the things not in the haven. The entire ship has a noise problem. All areas were very loud and noisy. At the hibachi restaurant we couldn't even hear our chef because of the other tables. Our cabin was below the haven restaurant and we heard them working in there all hours of the night, pushing carts, moving furniture. I also heard the thermal suite was below fitness center and you could hear the sounds below when you are supposed to be in a quiet relaxing place. So if you book this ship be sure to check what is above you. I am a light sleeper and did not get one single good night of sleep. I was also told by many that the kids club can only hold 50-60 kids so there were many parents who put their kids on the wait list immediately when the club open and their kids never got in. So then that leads to kids roaming around the ship at all hours.
