Gorgeous scenery, knowledgeable and delightful tour guides, amazing and delicious food, a variety of interesting excursions, a good balance between scheduled sites and free time — we had a delightful time and enjoyed every minute of being spoiled. Everything onboard and on any of the shore excursions worked like clockwork. Buses and guides were waiting for us. We never felt rushed. Our comfort and enjoyment was everyone’s priority. Viking is #1 in the cruise industry for good reason. It was our first cruise and most definitely won’t be our last. We chose the Rhine Getaway starting in Amsterdam and we extended with two days in Lucerne. From windmills to cobblestones, castles to wine and cheese, centuries-old churches to cows and mountains, there was lots of variety and so much to learn. Onboard the ship was casual and relaxed, the staff was helpful and accommodating and our tour director was gracious and patient and entertaining and supremely organized. I went with my sister this time and I loved the experience so much, I’ll be taking my daughter on the same tour next year.

Veranda Suite

We splurged for a Veranda Suite and we loved it! Plenty of room to spread out, our own private veranda, maid service twice a day, floor to ceiling windows — we enjoyed the cabin immensely.
