We chose this cruise because we got to see 4 different countries including Switzerland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. We had a great trip. The crew, the service, the food, the ship, the weather was all fantastic. We met some great people. The Rhine is so beautiful. You get to see so many of the ancient castles on the cliffs overlooking the river. You go through eleven locks during the cruise which was a very interesting experience. They really do take good care of you! The experience totally exceeded my expectations. The only issue we had was with the embarkation in Basel. They do not give an exact docking location since local port authority can change at their will. You were given 3 locations where boat could be. Unfortunately, we picked the correct one last! I wish Viking would email the location as soon as the boat docks. But once on the ship, everything was wonderful!

French Balcony

Room is very small, but we made it work. There is room under your bed to store your suitcase, etc. Bathroom is very small, but water in the shower was very nice(did not have to wait for it to get hot)
