The cruise was nice enough. It is a value cruise. But they have a few tasty food stations and quite a few budget food stations. There were a few food items I was certain were genetically cultured and not even real food. Upscale dining is not much to be desired but it's the experience. Our room was quite dusty and there were a few tiny hair shavings in the bathroom sink and on the counter top. But we kindly asked the room attendant to dust and vacuum for us because it was triggering our allergies and he was very helpful to do that for us. There were 2 comedians-A lady that was not too great and a guy that was HILARIOUS though edgy with political and race-themed jokes. There was a quiet pool area and a noisy pool area so we got our feel of both and enjoyed both but relaxed more so it was really nice to have the quiet side. So the experience was an overall nice get away weekend.
Now my Carnival Guest Services Experience - post travel has been horrendous and customer care is essentially non-existent.

It was a clean area. There were food and drink options. The local people were not forceful. The items were overpriced but not so much so that you were unable to make a purchase. Be cautious of overpaying for excursions- many of the hotels with (smaller) beaches are not too far of long walk or short drive.
Very pricey to park ($55-$80 for a 3 day getaway) + a tip. But it is clean, efficient, and plenty of parking available with a pretty nice access way to get to the embarkment area. The people in embarkment and in parking were cheerful and welcoming.
