This was our first cruise with Scenic, having been influenced by their claim to provide “Luxury cruising” and wishing to enjoy a little more pampering. Not being wedded to any cruise line in particular, I do feel able to make comparisons with other companies, so let’s get started:
Booking our cruise was quick and easy. No surprise there, it’s always easier to gain attention when parting with money. I found that getting questions answered later became much more difficult. The most common response was none at all and, if asking more than one question in the same correspondence, the easiest one might be answered whilst ignoring the others. We originally chose to sail in May, to see the Tulips as well as visit the Floriade (a once in ten-year opportunity) but this was cancelled at short notice without explanation. I imagined that, having dismissed staff when Covid struck, they had difficulty persuading sufficient quality staff to return when required.
