I have been holding off because I hate to complain but I gave them the 3-5 weeks they asked for our refund and after several calls and emails still nothing is resolved. On June 4th we took the New England/Canada cruise. We where delayed over an hour on departure and once again my gifts that where to be in the room for my wife's birthday where not there. Same as our Alaskan cruise. The TV had less then 10 channels 4 where H.A.L so we gave up on watching T.V. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress topper didn't help much. My in-laws had no heat and it was cold nights. Several elevators where out crowding those that worked. Several bathrooms where closed. The food in the buffet was ok somethings under cooked and the deserts where tasteless and mushy. If you planed on making a 7:30 show you best be seated in the main dinning room by 5:30. The toilet stopped working on the 2nd day and the smell of sewage lingered in the hallway. My wife was already sick and this didn't help matters. Several people companied! The entertainment is not up to the level of other cruise lines and there is little to do. The BBC show was very good as was the comedian but the dance routines which covered most nights got boring. The presentation on Canada and H.AL was good. If you lose anything in the Casino it will be charged to your room if you win good luck on getting the money because it's run by an off shore company and it will take months if you get it at all! Where still fighting for it. It took 22 minutes to get a drink at the pool. We where almost 2 hours getting off the ship because the authorities where late getting aboard the ship. We still haven't got back the 50% they promised us. And we missed the best part of the excursion. And customer relations said they would have someone from the executive staff call us in our room at 10PM so we stayed there on our last night. They never called. I know for certain we won't sail Holland America ever again. Even with the generous offered they gave us!
