We went on a 2 week cruise of the Mediterranean and should have booked for 3 weeks to complete the cruise. The staff was courteous and efficient to a degree. The Sanctuary was fully booked and was difficult to get a space even though there were obvious openings (empty cabanas and lounge chairs) I think because the area was understaffed. We had booked Club Class and the dedicated anytime dining room Symphony was a plus. The service was excellent even if the menu and food quality was less than stellar, it was still pretty good. We were always greeted by a smiling staff and treated with the utmost respect and friendliness, The major drawback was the closing off of the adult pool and bar and other key sections of the ship by the film crew of the reality show being filmed during our entire cruise. We were not told of this restriction until we were boarded on the ship and we had already paid our fare.

Cabin Review

Excellent cabin service by Rinaldo.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

I always wanted to see La Sagrada Familia and it was spectacular although I booked the excursion through Princess Cruises I was not told that you had to book separate tickets months in advance to see the inside of the Cathedral! The entire tour was excellent, pointing out certain historic sights in Barcelona, visiting the Cathedral of the Black Madonna, an enjoyable lunch and a knowledgeable tour guide.

Kotor

Montenegro was beautiful. An unknow gem of the Mediterranean!

Naples

We booked a private tour and spent the day on the Amalfi coast, visiting Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento and a great family style lunch with a fantastic view and back to Naples for some free time and pizza of course.

Santorini

I'm definitely going back to Santorini! Absolutely beautiful, although a tough walk to the top to catch the cable car to the port.

Taormina (Messina)

Although we booked this tour through Princess Cruises the guide spoke very little English and we basically had a silent bus ride to a beach where no one spoke English. We were restricted to a certain area of the beach far from the water and were later charged for the umbrella which was necessary for survival on the hot beach! We were supposed to get a snack as part of the tour which was difficult to get because of the language barrier. The guide did not help us at all even though she was in the snack bar! The snack was a joke, consisting of a small ice and a brioche...All in all, the worst excursion I ever took!
