Having already cruised with Princess pre-Covid we felt confident that they would provide the same excellent service. Sadly we disembarked feeling very disappointed. Embarkation was a nightmare although apparently not the fault of Princess. We were kept in a holding car park for an hour and a half. Once onboard the deluxe balcony cabin was wonderful with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The cabin steward was very friendly and helpful, especially as one of our cases went missing and wasn't found until 9pm that evening.

The food in the main dining room was good but not amazing, with a heavy emphasis on fish and few vegetables. Alfredos was amazing and always busy. The buffet was ok however we struggled to find a seat nearly every morning. There is no self service due to Covid restrictions which is fine, however once you found a seat you then had to locate someone to provide tea or coffee. At one point they ran out of cups so the drink was served in a plastic water beaker - not great.

Drinks service in the main was very sub-standard throughout the ship, despite the staff working like Trojans. I was served an espresso martini in a warm whisky tumbler in one bar as they had run out of Martini glasses. The medallion app was no better for drinks service. Once we waited 20 minutes, another time it was an hour.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Lovely cabin mid-ship with excellent steward service. Bed amazing! Shower curtain bit of a let-down.
