This was my second time on Royal and first with whole family. We were able to afford it because it was out of Bayonne, NJ so no airfare.
Embarkation - great - this port was easy to get into - drove right up, dropped off bags, drove maybe 100 yards to secure parking deck that I think is only for those cruising. Was able to walk right to check in early than the planned time.
Cabin - had a balcony - adjoining rooms. This worked out nice since I have two teenagers so we had plenty of space yet still kinda like one room. The rooms are typical size, plenty of storage space and was always clean. The room steward was great about doing the cleaning when we were gone and keeping fresh towels in the bathroom. My only complaint is the bed was very firm and I ended up having issues sleeping/stiff neck. After a couple nights I asked and they were able to put a mattress topper on that made a world of difference for me.

DO NOT BOOK UBER to COCO BEACH!! was $40 one way - use the ship shuttle if available or taxi shuttle for $16/pp roundtrip.
