I have been on 29 cruises with various lines. The cruise on Valiant ranked 29th on that list. We booked through Imagine Cruising and were promised "80s Extravaganza".
Prior to the holiday the information on covid testing was confusing and we used recommended company. The QR code would not scan. Thankfully the cruise Facebook group shared hints and tips.
The port of Funchal was taken off itinery 4 weeks before and not replaced with another port. We did get $50 dollars each on-board credit though. We still have not had our excursion for Funchal refunded despite numerous calls to VV and IMC who blamed each other.
Cabin Review
Spacious but needs more storage. Bathroom small but shower good. Bed comfortable with good pillows and nice bed linen. Towels new and soft. There is a tablet to work lights and curtains but I found it quicker to just do it manually. TV frequently buffeted. There was a fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities. Hammock on balcony was a novelty but we only sat in it once to try it.
