I've been on this ship before. It has something for everyone.

Good: The food. It had large portions, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. We ate in dining room every night, and many breakfast(s). Surf simulator: Kids love it, and it was great, along with the water slides, and so on. Ports: getting on and off at ports was smooth and they were helpful with my disabilities.

Neutral: Entertainment. I found this to be rather out of date and not so entertaining. The lip synching is what I don't like. Why not just play the track and have no one lip synching? It makes no sense to me. Is there something wrong with a live show? It's what I expect. The comedy show(s) were hard to get into. They should have had more. Only 3 shows for the entire cruise? It's a huge ship and there's plenty of room. The small pub had the same singer for the entire sailing. The lounging area had a mariachi band, and you get enough of that in about 20 minutes in my opinion. The ice show was very nice. Ice Skating: They only allowed 20 minutes to skate. Additionally, they didn't allow skating the ENTIRE day we were at sea, but then changed it the morning of and you had to register. If I had known that, we wouldn't have been so rushed at dinner (on formal night) to allow kids to skate and gone the next day.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

The cabin is basic. I do like to have an oceanview to keep up with daytime. The tv didn't tilt enough, it should not just turn, but sissor out a bit more, as it's right next to the drape strap (to have some privacy in the bed area). Room Steward did a good job of keeping room clean. We had 2 rooms, and one of them the shower didn't drain. The steward was aware (evidently this had been going on for some time and engineering hadn't fixed it).

The entertainment on the cabin tv was minimal, and they played the same movie(s) over and over... perhaps they could do more like an airplane, and have options? This is the ONE thing that I would appreciate that they do better on.
