We are Diamond members and loyal to the RC brand for most of our cruise trips. Due to Covid restrictions we have not been cruising since the major outbreak. Now that vaccines are available, and reading about the protocols for travelers on RC, we decided to tip our toes in again on a short 3 night trip out of Port Canaveral, to experience what it's now like to cruise. We were not disappointed and now encouraged to go out again.

Independence of the Seas, despite its age, still holds up to providing a great cruise experience. She is quite large but easy to get around, with only issues still getting on elevators. Limit 5 people at a time which was not followed at all times. Only 2400 passengers on board, 100 children included. Never felt crowded.

Service was excellent, and crew were over the top friendly, helpful, and informative.

Ocean View Balcony

Clean and plenty of room for two. Room 7646 located just past mid ship, close to elevators, Large Balcony. Room was well appointed and kept clean daily. Bed was very comfortable. Showing a little wear and somewhat dated but acceptable considering the ships age.
