This was my return to Royal Caribbean after the closure, and having done an MSC Cruise the month before, was interested to see the differences in how things were run. Solo cruising this time, as I usually do.

Embarkation was super smooth and fast. I had an 11:30 board time, got there about 10min early with no issue and longest I waited was about 10min for vaccine/test verification outside the terminal. Beyond that, everything was super quick, no wait at security, a couple minutes at the wellness check/check-in and off I went onboard.

This was my first time on Indy, and on Freedom class at all. I really enjoyed it, and have been describing to friends who also cruise that it felt like a product if Oasis and Enchantment had a baby. A good mix of the newer, amplified features of the newer, larger classes, but some of the more timeless, classic features of some of the smaller, older ships, including the "catch-all" Star Lounge.
