We could not wait to return to cruising. When Norwegian announced that they would be sailing with fully vaccinate passengers and crew to Alaska, we decided to take the jump. Touring Alaska really excited us. We wanted to see as much as possible in a safe environment.

The Norwegian Encore boasts a beautiful modern design. Everything is clean and sleek. The ship is huge, but is easy to navigate and to get to around. The ship seemingly has about everything.

We dined in the Garden Cafe, Manhattan, Savor, Taste, The Local Pub, Teppanyaki, and Food Republic. For the most part, the food quality exceeded our expectations.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Nice, clean and modern, but small. We usually sail with Disney and get an ocean view/portal window room which are larger than the balcony on NCL.

Port Reviews

Icy Strait

It was okay. I took a bear excursion and saw 1 brown bear. That was cool. We encountered no other wildlife though. There is not whole lot else to day at Icy Straight Point.

Juneau

Cute town. We saw 11 hump back whales on a tour. I had time to hike the Mt. Roberts trail which was tough, but beautiful with stunning views.
