Just arrived home from our first cruise since the pandemic. Crazy… Although Captain Kate let us know 99.2% of us were vaccinated, there were at least 6 fully vaccinated who tested positive, some had to take private planes home from Costa Maya and also Cozumel. We were told on the last night that we were exposed and thru contact tracing, we were escorted to our stateroom and underwent Covid testing, we were negative. We were confined to our stateroom for over 4 hours, we hadn’t eaten and food could not be brought to us until testing was complete, By then it was midnight. Nurse informed us she had dozens of tests to complete, many guests were exposed. High anxiety and stress all around! Needless to say we have now cancelled our Odyssey of the Seas cruise for August 28, not interested in flying home from Aruba if we end up testing positive somewhere along the journey. RC offered us a full refund on our suites.
