Regent continues to excel in food and service. They get 5+ stars on those parameters.
Their lecturers were quite good and Tom Jones (astronaut) was one of the best lecturers I've ever heard, and I have been a presenter at large conferences.
The entertainment was good.
This review covers 2 back to back cruises.
The ONLY issue was that they chartered an airline to make the return trip and it was abysmal. There was absolute bedlam at the airport as while there was an ATLAS rep, there was no coordination to get bags checked and get boarding passes. We had to suffer through endless lines and interminable waiting in the humidity and heat of Papeete. Since most of Regents clients are on the elderly side and some have mobility issues, this was horrendous. In addition, for Business Class international travel, there is always a lounge - Not here. While it was supposed to be Business Class, it was closer to premium economy. (I wouldn't have even commented but a friend who suffered through the return flight called my attention to a reviewer praising the airline) and I want to set the record straight. The seats were 6 across (not 4), their was no entertainment system and while the attendants were exuberant, they did not deal with all safety issue appropriately such as picking up drinks as the plane took off and avoiding spilling tomato juice over my lap.
The Navigator is one of my favorite ships and remains so, but Regent must better monitor the flight arrangements that they make.
