As expected, Sky Princess is a beautiful new ship that Princess' customers will love. A few tweaks would make it even better. Not sure about the Medallion technology though.

Embarkation was very good, if not as easy for us as it is for US customers, who get their medallions in advance. (Transfer tip: we got an Uber from Miami to Port Everglades, for about $40). Leaving the ship and finding our Miami transfer was seamless.

Although we were on our own, the Christmas week was very much a family cruise and had a great atmosphere. the week before was significantly quieter, with half-empty bars most evenings.

Cabin Review

Balcony (obstructed view)

Excellent cabin, brand new of course so in perfect condition. On-demand TV excellent to use, although we ran out of choice towards the end of two weeks. Kept in perfect condition by Julia from Mexico.

The bathroom felt a bit smaller than usual, and we are small people. Ridiculously, the toilet roll holder is on the opposite of the room UNDER the sink surface. Sack the muppet that designed that :)

Port Reviews

Princess Cays

Just a private beach, but not a bad way to start the cruise. Weather was good and facilities adequate. Had an enjoyable day.

St. Maarten

We like St.Maarten but don't really do any trips. We visit Joe's Jewelry on Front Street (ask for Max)

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Plenty of shopping streets to wander around not far from the tender drop-off point, and a few good bars and restaurants.
