  3. Adventure of the Seas
I had sailed on the Adventure of the Seas previously and enjoyed the ship and it’s crew, so I booked back to back cruises (Dec. 7 and 15). The ship is still structurally a wonderful vessel, but the crew, service and food leave a lot to be desired. The my time dining room is set up with too many tables. Cramming diners into the space provides challenges for the diners. I was bumped repeatedly be other diners and the wait staff. There are not enough waiters to make the meal delivery and accuracy efficient. Longer than average waits to order and between courses, cold food and uncollected dirty dishes on the table were the norm for us. The new mattresses were rock hard and unbearable for our backs. It took nearly the entire first cruise (8-day) for housekeeping to properly address the issue. The cruse staff was over-all better than average, but at times a bit arrogant and mocking and disrespectful. We enjoy trivia and appreciated most of the staff, but 2 members were extremely difficult to understand and blamed the passengers for their inability to be understood. Not only could they not pronounce words, but it was apparent that they did not like their assignment. The activities manager needs to reevaluate assignments. Passengers deserve much better. The noise level in our hallway was terrible. We were stuck with families who seem to think the hall was a proper playground for children and their parents who loudly addressed them, often from halfway down the hall. Security? What security? The entertainment was average. The cast of the production shows is talented, but the shows were basic and boring. Debarkation was a huge mess. While the organization was established, it was not executed properly and the exit on the final morning collapsed. Protocol was abandoned, and the order of the departures was nor followed. We were over an hour late in departing and got stuck behind people with later scheduled departures.

Disappointing...Mediocre at Best

Cabin Review

Cabin
Standard inside cabin on deck 8. Other than the mattresses from hell, the cabin is ok. The cabin steward did ok.
