This was a short 6-day cruise from Galveston to Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel, with two days at sea. The bright spots first: 1) food overall was very good - and a complete surprise to us 2) staff in the restaurants and cabin were very good 3) cabin size was very good and was comfortable 4) the live band in the Red Frog Pub was great Now the Bad: 1) entertainment in the main ballroom was basically very bad 2) time in each port was very short - even though we had plenty of time between ports 3) my complaints to guest services about people smoking on an upwind balcony fell on deaf ears 4) food in the Seafood Shack was very bad (fish & chips was not cooked long enough) 5) disembarkation process was horribly slow - taking almost 3 hours 6) the Costa Maya port is a joke and not worth stopping at The ship has lots of kids, but the area in the aft of the ship has a pool, two hot tubs and a bar for adults. An average cruise that will probably appeal to the average person

This was a short 6-day cruise from Galveston to Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel, with two days at sea. The bright spots first:

1) food overall was very good - and a complete surprise to us

2) staff in the restaurants and cabin were very good

3) cabin size was very good and was comfortable

4) the live band in the Red Frog Pub was great

Now the Bad:

1) entertainment in the main ballroom was basically very bad

2) time in each port was very short - even though we had plenty of time between ports

3) my complaints to guest services about people smoking on an upwind balcony fell on deaf ears

4) food in the Seafood Shack was very bad (fish & chips was not cooked long enough)

5) disembarkation process was horribly slow - taking almost 3 hours

6) the Costa Maya port is a joke and not worth stopping at

The ship has lots of kids, but the area in the aft of the ship has a pool, two hot tubs and a bar for adults. An average cruise that will probably appeal to the average person
