First I do want to say that we love the S class ships, at least before the "upgrades." They are vastly superior to the Edge due to the ship design and inclusiveness for all guests. The Edge class has very few connecting balconies and instead has windows. The S class ships have connecting balconies which is great for extended family. These ships also have less pay for areas although some of this is changing after the "upgrades" which are revenue enhancers, not true upgrades.

We booked a cruise out of Fort Lauderdale but Celebrity messed up and about 2 months out changed the drop of port to Miami. We had to change our flight and it was a pretty big deal but we went with it. The worst part was they docked in Miami at a terminal that was not built for a large cruise ship. I have never been treated worse I my life. We were yelled at numerous times by shore personnel as were many others. I felt that my kids safety was own jeopardy they way they crammed up in and many peoples luggage was messed up. The porters were cutting in line while the rest of us waited in cramped quarters to get out. There were no Celebrity personnel present and they did not care as they were concentrating on the next cruise. When we called and asked for follow up Celebrity told us that they would not be following up. The ship and cruise itself were good but this really put a damper on how we feel about Celebrity and is the reason why they are getting a two start rating.

Back the ship as we do like these class of ships, it was very good. Our dining room service was excellent and if we do stick with Celebrity it will be one of the main reasons why. They were very good with kids and treated us great. Other groups were great such as photo team, coffee bar team, and overall waitstaff. The officers were also very friendly and helpful. Room stewards were good although due to budget cuts no more towel animals, etc for the kids.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Concierge class has gone downhill with very few tangible benefits left. We get it for the location of the room, not because of the benefits.

Port Reviews

Aruba

Not much near the ship except shopping.

Curacao

Best port by far, nice docking location.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Tender port, not great although beaches are good.
