Ok, let me begin by saying that getting on the ship was very easy. No real wait time, but then you had to wait for your cabin to be cleaned and ready for you. They let one group of travelers off and then have a new set coming right away, so they really can’t check everything (which I learned). Then you have to wait a long time to get your luggage because there are only a few (2) people handing out your luggage (at least on my floor). Guest services never really has a line and the ladies who work there are very friendly/helpful. Now my issues, the toilet in my room did not work for 12 hours on my first evening. Informed guest services and was told that they would put a work order in. Can you imagine having to use the bathroom on another floor in the middle of the night because they would not fix your bathroom that day. Again on the first day they broke my luggage zipper and I was told by guest services to empty my luggage out and to bring it down to guest services ( I would have thought that they could send someone up to my cabin but no I just boarded the ship and I am rolling my luggage down to guest services,people thought I was leaving). The food was ok at the buffet but don’t expect too much ( I asked for coffee my first morning and learned not to ask for anything, if they don’t ask you just get up and look for it yourself). The entertainment is just ok you are not missing anything ( the travelers make it enjoyable). When you go on this cruise it is all about seeing Hawaii. Thank goodness I had a shore excursion five of the seven days that I was on this cruise. The cabin and the balcony was small, the man (Michael) who was in charge of cleaning my cabin was very nice. I went on this cruise planning on doing another cruise with Norwegian but after my experiences I was really afraid to try another cruise with them but people said that this is an old ship so I am going to try the new ship going to Bermuda (from NYC). If there was another cruise ship in Hawaii I would do that but I really could not say anything nice other than it was Hawaii. Oh do the specialty dining (great service there, do the steakhouse at least twice).
