We usually cruise other cruise lines but wanted to try MSC. The ship itself was clean and well maintained. Our inside cabin had a lot of storage space but the shower had to be one of the smallest we have ever seen. The food was OK with only a few bad spots. There was nothing on the menu that was outstanding. The officers and crew were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our embarkation and disembarkation went very well. On and off quickly with very little waiting. Some of the entertainment was some of the best we have seen but some of the other shows were mediocre. The singers, dancers and performers were excellent. Our main disappointment was that we are usually fairly social. We found few people on this ship who spoke English as their first language and were unable to join in most conversations. Also many announcements were made in several languages which took a while and was a little disruptive. For us, we prefer and American based ship where English is the primary language so we can be more engaged with our fellow passengers.
The cabin was very nice. It was quiet and comfortable. There was a lot of storage space. The only complaint was the smallest shower we have ever experienced on a cruise.
