We chose this cruise for the itinerary but were ultimately disappointed with the destinations as the experience was spoiled by ridiculous numbers of tourists, despite it being towards the end of the season. The cabins were fine although the curtains were in dire need of replacing. In general the ship looked tired. The ship was generally very clean and our cabin was spotless thanks to our excellent steward. The food quality varied enormously, as did the service, even though we ate in the same dining room each evening. Occasionally, the food was very good but mostly it was mediocre and occasionally inedible. We did complain about the food on a couple of occasions. There were two formal evenings on the cruise and the information supplied by Royal Caribbean clearly stated that lounge suits or dinner jackets were required in the dining rooms, furthermore any passengers not appropriately dressed would not be able to there and would have to eat in the buffet. Unfortunately, on both formal nights there were numerous people inappropriately dressed in jeans, trainers and t-shirts. We did not take any organised shore excursions as the costs were extortionate. The entertainment was poor.
