We regularly cruise with Celebrity, and our Alaska cruise on Eclipse was one of our best! The entire staff was professional and friendly, and our dining experiences were consistently enjoyable. Gorgeous, sunny weather was a bonus!
The embarkation team at the port in Vancouver was friendly and efficient. We were quickly on board after arrival, making a great start to our vacation.
We sailed in Aqua Class, so we dined in Blu for breakfast and dinner. Our entire experience was excellent with delicious, well-presented meals and outstanding service from the entire restaurant staff. We have been in Suite Class on our previous two cruises and didn't feel Blu was a step down from Luminae. The view out the floor-to-ceiling windows was stunning! We ate one dinner in Murano, which was a special experience and well worth the upcharge. We ate lunch at the Oceanview Cafe, where we enjoyed the wide variety of offerings.
Our cabin had a nice central location on a high deck with an extra deep balcony at the edge of the central "hump." Ample drawers and closets. Loved the bathroom set up. Some voice and chair noise from the deck above, but it didn't bother us.
Exciting city with great dining options.
Juneau is fine. We hiked the East Glacier Loop at Mendenhall, but the glacier has retreated so much we mostly just looked at the lake that is at its base.
A really charming town. We hiked Mount Verstovia, which was intense, but the spectacular views made it all worth it.
We only spent a little time in town, which is nice enough, but we would recommend an excursion instead.
