We traveled to Bermuda on the NCL Escape over Memorial Day 2019 for one week leaving from NYC. We had a Mid-ship Mini Suite which is really a balcony room (no suite perks) with a slightly larger and very nicely equipped bathroom.
ROOM - we all know cruise rooms are very small but this room had a comfy bed (requested a pillow top mattress cover that really helped). The bed seemed larger than a queen, closer to king size which we appreciate since both my husband and I are tall. Balcony was small but nice. The bathroom was really nice with a great shower. Great room attendant that always had the room freshen up when we returned and of course had all those cute towel animals every night. We booked the trip last minute (2 weeks before leaving) and was not given offer to upgrade since ship was nearly sold out and did sell out shortly after.
FOOD - we enjoyed several different restaurants, including speciality since we had the package that gave us 3 meals at speciality restaurants. All had really nice atmosphere and food was very good to excellent. My favorite was the French restaurant - truly outstanding food and service. We also enjoyed sitting outside on balcony at the Italian restaurant where it was quiet and enjoyed sunset. We are FOODIES from NJ/NY area and accustomed to excellent food options so this is probably the most difficult area to satisfy us and was surprised with the good quality all around at main dining, buffet, and the speciality restaurants.
