After reading so many negative reviews about the cruise, queuing for embarkation, disembarkation, restaurants and bars and was not really looking forward to cruise. However all my fears were unfounded NCL staff had everything under control so embarkation and disembarkation caused no issues. The NCL crew, in all areas were extremely hardworking, friendly and professional and overseen by very present senior staff. There is plenty of choice of food 24/7 if you want it. Just remember when at capacity this ship takes 4200 people, as it was on the Rome to Barcelona leg of this trip. Yes there are comments that we could make but you have to take it context of 'can't please all the people' all the time in terms of negative reviews. Some of the food was good and some mediocre. I found in the speciality restaurants that the food was over salty and not particularly hot but the taste was fine. Speciality dining came as part of our package and personally would not pay additional monies for any of the 3 restaurants we tried - Teppaniki, Cagney Steakhouse and Le Bistro. None of the restaurants had any ambience and when we were eating the restaurants were pretty empty - we eat early, mid and late. The entertainment was good particularly Howl at the Moon - Piano duo, and Burn the Floor. Plenty of live music going on all day in various areas with enough variety to suit everyone. The Beverage package was also included due to the Balcony stateroom we chose but definitely get that if on offer for $99/£99 plus taxes per cruise as it will save you a fortune. All the drinks served are International Brands. Just watch that there is a 'top shelf' where drinks are over the $15 per drinks allowed under the beverage package and they are ridiculously over priced e.g £24.95 plus 20% tax plus $1.99 tip minus $15.00 comes to $12.94!!! Only out and out negative would be the weird configuration of the staterooms and that the beds are far too short and not particularly comfortable. NCL MUST do something about the use of single use plastics in the outside bars. Overall this was a good cruise but we only picked it as did not plan to get off vessel as it was just a chill holiday. NCL is definitely aimed at the American Market.

Was clean and presentable. The towels were white and fluffy. Tea and coffee facilities in room. However the configuration of the cabin is down right weird. The beds are quite large but far to short due to the shape and not very comfortable. Had a very large balcony. The Stateroom staff work hard and long hours to keep everything in order. The cabins are starting to look a bit tired and could do with bringing up to date. Very limited channels to watch on TV.
