Took sister and husband with us. As beginners, they were very satisfied with the overall experience. We are long-time Princess cruisers, and were quite happy overall. In particular, the entertainment was better than usual for this line, with an excellent cast and orchestra. Hearing Daniel Oliver sing at the piano was great, as we heard him some years ago on a different ship. Also appreciated was the absence of blaring music on the open deck. Dining room food was inferior to the buffet. After a bit of learning, I must say that the Medallion system is an improvement over the old card system. The ethnic mix was unusual for us, with 1100 Americans, 1200 Asian, and 1000 others, with clear differences in cultural behaviours. We were pleased to attend a private lunch with the captain and senior officers for the 40 passengers with the most Princess cruise days. Unfortunately, the weather was mostly overcast and drizzly. Our inside cabin seemed to have more space (especially storage) than the usual Princess.
