This was my 24th cruise, 3rd on Princess, 1st on this ship. My sister went with me. It was her 1st time on Princess. I choose this cruise because it was in May and it was a short cruise, and I wanted my sister to sail on Princess. Honestly, I read every review on this ship since January and I was more than a little scared about what I had read regarding the condition of the ship. But the purpose was to spend time with my sister so off we went.
We flew down the night before and stayed at The Conrad. It was great. The next morning we went to the port at 12:30. We had already received our Medallions and had registered everything prior so we basically were able to walk on the ship. We immediately went up to the Sanctuary on deck 16 to reserve space. This cruise only had 1 port day and 3 sea days. All the loungers were booked (at 12:40) but the cabanas were available Cabanas are a bit pricey, at $140 for half day, but included several things, so we decided to spurge and booked the first and last mornings sessions.
Next we went down a deck and ate lunch at the buffet. We walked the entire length of the buffet areas and found everything from the food to the service to the furnishings to be top quality and just excellent. The Planks and Steamers areas décor was beautiful and brand new.
Everything was BRAND NEW
