This was our second time sailing on the Jade. It was an okay experience for us, but unfortunately, our experience with the photography studio and one employee, was so unpleasant that we won’t return. Its quite “scammy”. They say no sitting fee, but the photos will set you back $400 for ONE picture and as high as up to $3000. We were somewhat harassed prior to even boarding the ship by a photographer about booking a session and he proceeded to call us 3 times within an hour once we boarded the ship. We even joked about it feeling like a telemarketer. We finally booked a session with a different photographer, but when we went to purchase the photos ended up speaking with the original photographer we had met and he was VERY rude I think because we had booked with someone else? We went down to purchase our photos ($1899, which is ridiculous anyway) and ended up not purchasing any photographs because he was so rude to us and we just couldn’t believe we were about to spend that much money and he was speaking to us so poorly. Total disappointment and its a horrible memory from our cruise. After 11 years of cruising with NCL this is the first time we have ever gotten off a cruise with absolutely no photos at all. Save yourself some $, time and the risk of being treated poorly and just use the photographers around the ship and steer clear from the photography studio.
Le Bistro was the best restaurant, with the best service.
The painting classes are fun, but make sure you register early if you want to participate as they get filled up very quickly!
The cabin was nice. Everything was clean and in working order. They should just change the daily items brought to the cabin in the Haven. It’s been the same for several years now, It never changes and gets boring.
