The Voyager of the Seas is consistently a wonderful cruise experience. The staff is tirelessly friendly and eager to help in any way. This was Captain Patrick's last trip with the Voyager (he's going to the Mariner) so we actually had two captains with us. We will miss Captain Patrick.
We booked the Royal Family Suite, which is on the back of the ship. We were in a Grand Suite last time, and the differences are worth noting. The RFS is geared toward families, while the GS is more luxurious. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms this time. The master suite has a small TV, a porthole and an ensuite bathroom with one sink and tub-shower combo. A sliding glass door (with a curtain) separates it from the living area. The other bedroom is on the interior (no windows) and the second bath is across the entrance hall. There is no TV or telephone in this bedroom. The bath just has a shower - no tub. The walk-in closet provides plenty of hang-up space and ample drawers and shelves are everywhere. The dining room table is nice for Room Service.
The GS did not have the dining room table, but the double sinks in the huge bathroom were really nice. Also the mirrors, lighting, and overall decor had a glamorous feel, unlike the RFS.
