I am at Platinum level with Carnival. This is not my first time on the Vista, I love the ship because it has all of the latest amenities. It has all the specialty restaurants, movie theater, pour your own wine and beer, etc. I also like the digital photo gallery. We went in October, and got a great price. We were contacted by Carnival ahead of the cruise to see if we wanted a balcony at a reduced cost. We took them up on it.

We love cruises and had a great time. We found a favorite waiter and enjoyed anytime dining. We used the Shore Excursioner website and bought a day pass at the Hyatt Ziva in Jamaica - amazing. We also bought a hotel room at the Westin Grand Cayman , also amazing. We went to Mr. Sanchos in Cozumel and had a fantastic time.

What prevents me from 5 stars is my experience on deck and in my cabin. My little neighborhood where my cabin was located - not the best. Constant door slamming inside the cabin, the doors to the hall and to the balcony too - all hours of night and day. Smoking. I have never had to complain to front desk about anyone, and found myself doing this twice. Once was because about a half dozen loud drunk people in the room next to us at midnight. And loud arguing. The other issue was parents not watching their kids in the pool and I saw a kid jump in a very full pool and clobber a poor lady. I run, and on the outdoor jogging track people would stand in the way or walk at you going the wrong direction. Just an overall feeling of lack of common courtesy and manners.
