Always wanted to experience a transatlantic cruise. The Crown Princess was great. Entertainment was less than desirable! Food was good. Ports were great. Getting to the ship from the train station (Civitavecchia) was a very bad experience. There were a few people that didn’t have a clue how to get to the ship. The shuttle never stopped at their Shuttle Stop! We had to walk to the ship from the train station. With all our luggage! One couple was quite elderly. The other ship, in port at the same time, had a continuous shuttle! Our cabin as far as cleanliness was ok. The stewards really need to clean counters, mirrors, tv screen a bit better. Beds were amazing. Two amazing bar tenders in the crooners bar were fantastic! Bruce and Victor, also Jasmine in the crooners bar made it a very enjoyable time! Always remembered who you were and what you drank. Always made your presence known! Shore excursions of course are always pricey but were enjoyed. The activity staff were great when it came to their entertainments. The comedians were awful! One comedian walked so fast back and forth that he gave me a headache. Wasn’t funny! Disembarkation was brutal. Because it was a transatlantic cruise, everyone had to go through customs including all the staff! Only two international lines and four lines for the Americans to go through customs!
Room steward was pleasant but his cleaning skills could improve greatly!
