This was my 14 cruise and my first on a Norwegian ship. Positives--good food, overall clean ship, fast embarkation and great solo organizer Romeo. I stayed in one of the solo studio rooms. It was small but efficient. The only problem is that they don't tell you that you need to go through a special door marked "Studio" to get to the rooms. Another person and I walked around the entire 11th floor twice and even asked two stewards but could not find our rooms. I need to note that a solo room on Norwegian is basically the same price as paying double minus taxes and gratuities for an interior room on a Carnival ship. Negatives--I had $125 of one board credit (OBC) but didn't know until the last day you could not use it to pay for your gratuities--MAJOR FRUSTRATION and additional cost. I had unlimited beverages so there was not much to spend the money on that I wanted. Other cruise lines do not do limit how your OBC is used. There is no free sauna, you have to pay for an expensive thermal package. The dinners in the dining room were TWO hours every night with very slow service. There is a walking/jogging track that is a joke since it is major walk path in the area for everyone. The smoking fish tank on the pool deck was sometimes not cleaned up for several hours. This happened mostly in the evenings. There is no "quick grab" food except the buffet. Other lines have small areas for Indian food, deli, burgers, pizza, etc that I missed. The studio lounge had a fancy espresso machine but would not give you a regular cup of coffee. There are just so many events and dining choices that you have to pay extra for. The Atrium is too small for many of the activities they presented there. They crammed so much in some areas, it made the walk paths narrow and congested.

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

The solo studio room was what everyone says it is--small but efficient. I missed having a chair to sit on since I find it uncomfortable to sit on a bed while checking my email or reading.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

The beach was OK but not much else to do in the beach area. I wore water shoes but several people commented the sand was sharp and gritty.

Costa Maya

Just checked out the port and then relaxed on the ship.

Cozumel

Just checked out the shopping in the port and then relaxed on the ship.
