The cruise was taken because I just got off another cruise line a few months ago that was a major competitor to Princess and I had to see for myself if Princess also went downhill in servicing passengers that expect quality and service. They absolutely DID NOT. They may not offer FREE drink packages but I am sure they don't for a reason. The passengers Princess attracts are a cut above your standard cruise traveler. The other once famous line that was supposed to exceed my expectations, was full of smokers, alcoholics, and casual dressing types while dining. This was not found on my cruise with Princess. The elegance in dining and the atmosphere remains second to none when compared to the other major cruise lines. I love dressing up on the formal nights and going to quality Broadway type shows that makes cruising my primary choice for vacations. I met many passengers from Europe and the United states that got along so well and our differences made this such an enjoyable and memorable vacation.. Many that try cruising seem to stick to line that was there very first cruise. I would like to tell those passengers that you don't know cruising at all. For passengers like me that once in a while sample whats out there, they have there slogan. That slogan describes me very accurately, which is " Come home to Princess" AND it REALLY IS " THE LOVE BOAT" Maurice De R.Ph.
