This cruise exceeded my expectations! I really chose this cruise for the itinerary ... and it did not disappoint. Even several of the ports that I wasn’t as interested in, like Dover, turned out to be absolutely amazing! But the best surprise was the ship. We expected excellence in dining... but it was exceptional. And the entire spa area with pools, hot tub, saunas and snow room was a real delight. We used this area every day.

The shore excursion choices for “ included” excursions were inconsistent. Some were good, but many were just riding around in a bus. I feel that for the price we paid, we should have been able to chose from some of the other excursions that were offered at additional cost. To advertise “included” and then offer such poor tours is misleading advertising. Either provide better “included” tours, give choices on included tours, or reduce the price of the cruise and charge for excursions. The advertising is misleading as it stands now and results in disastusfied customers.

The only other negative was the flight and air partners. We paid for an upgraded economy ticket and were very disappointed with the multiple connections and flights. We were willing to pay more for this service, but by the time we arrived home, we were exhausted. And we are in our early 50’s... the younger end of the Viking customers. This area needs serious improvement.
