Alaska has been on my bucket-list. Princess tour-cruise (we did land portion first, which was great) and this ship was recommended by a family member who had done the same cruise several years prior. We booked a year prior which had a 'Sip & Sail' offering for mini-suite or above - well worth it! Very, very impressed with seamless organization of entire cruise scheduling (including land portion) from embarkation to disembarkation. We were VERY satisfied with cabin, ship and steward. Cruise days among glaciers were spectacular. Bucket-list expectations were fully met. Alaska is gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful.

We chose timed seating for dinner, but would probably choose 'anytime dining' in the future to allow for more flexibility in our schedule and to take in shows. Daily show times conflicted with later seating (our seating was at 7:30p) and the later show too late in the evening for us. Menu variety was very good. Service good in dining rooms, despite a few mix-ups in orders. Beverage service in dining room somewhat slow in response, but acceptable. Buffet breakfast and lunch had good variety, but can get crowded on cruise days making seating a bit more challenging to secure, but can be found. Breakfast also offered in one of the dining rooms (limited hours).

Shore excursions expensive thru Princess. Similar excursions are offered by others at ports at less cost (but be careful to ensure tour times with others meet ship timing for sailing). Our whale watch with Juneau tours out of Juneau, for example, was $50 less per person and used a smaller vessel - perfect!

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin ME

10th flr Caribe Deck. Spacious and comfortable cabin. Unubstructed giving fantastic views of glaciers. Configured for king, both sides of bed somewhat worn, but still OK.

(We did not travel with children, but this survey will give us no other selection.)

Port Reviews

Skagway

Great fun with sled dogs in their "summer camp".

Ketchikan

We walked the town, a tourist trap of endless shops and jewelry.

Juneau

Great trip with Juneau Tours - saw whales, sea lions, dolphin. Smaller catamaran type vessel and great guides.

Anchorage

Was in Anchorage just a short time. Wanted to do city tour for which we arrived to buy tickets 15 mins in advance - booked!
