Aloha Cafe was the buffet - open most of the day. Frankly this was a pleasant surprise, several items the whole family found to be very good and worthy of having again and again. That's the good news.

The disappointments start with the bar service - on several occasions I showed my unlimited soda plan card to the bartender and he then actively ignores me, serving other customers until I left in disgust. Not the type to make a scene myself. Not just my experience - brother in law ordered beers and was left standing at the bar for 20 minutes when the tender went off and disappeared. In one of the shows waitress took my room key to run a tab and then LEFT THE ROOM. Went to work a different bar and kept my room key in her pocket. I was left steaming at the bar for 30 minutes until a supervisor could track her down. Meanwhile my mother-in-law, wheelchair bound - wanted desperately to leave the tacky show that was going on but we were stuck there until I could get my room key back. Exceptionally poor bar service demonstrated in several bars and shows over the entire week. I think the only hope of getting any good bar service is to tip cash with every drink - the gratuity plan where you pay end of week just isn't enough to get the attention of the bar and wait staff on this boat.

Entertainment on our particular cruise was not up to the quality of several other cruises we've done. Two shows hosted by the staff were really lame attempts to occupy guests while not spending money to hire actual talent. Poor taste, tacky, and lame --battle of the sexes, not so newly wed game, magic show, comedian--all were sub-par.

cabin was nice. Prices dropped as the cruise got closer and we had no luck getting an upgraded cabin.

Skyline restaurant is where we had many dinners - and the service there was top notch. The entree's were really good, but we found the New England Chowder and French Onion soups to be below average. Beverage service in this particular restaurant was also very attentive, much better than service (or lack thereof) we were subjected to at almost all bars - except the piano bar. It was good.

We had 5 cabins and several credits on each room. On the last day we went to Customer Service desk and tried to reconcile all the charges, moving some credits from the kids cabins to cover the bar charges in the adult cabins - and it was totally messed up. A month after the cruise and we're still trying to reconcile the billing and credits. Many of the adjustments we were told on board would be made - never happened. So be advised to check your room charges every other day and don't leave the updates until the last evening.
